The National Pan-Hellenic Council closed out Monday of Homecoming Week with a celebratory alumni reunion.

NPHC organized “Black Family Reunion” in the Student Union Breezeway on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council Brianna Carter, a junior health systems management major, discussed the purpose of the event.

Carter said, “‘Black Family Reunion’ is a time for all of our alumni to come back and just reunite once again with current students on campus and to just also kick off Homecoming in a positive way to show that Southeastern students can come together and just have a great time on a Monday.”

The night included food, music, games and a performance from NPHC Greek organizations.

Carter hopes attendees left the event with a positive attitude to feel like “one big, happy family on Southeastern’s campus.” Carter expressed her pride in the NPHC organizations.

“Our unity is so great right now, and this is just the beginning,” said Carter. “We plan on growing and expanding and just doing great things throughout the semester and throughout our time here on campus.”
