With the winning streak the Lady Lions secured the number 2 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament. The Lady Lions women’s volleyball team continued to stay hot over the week as they extended their win streak to seven games after knocking off Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word

The 2019 alumnus Chason Virgil passed for a total of 3,791 yards and 25 touchdowns for the Lions in his senior season. Virgil, a native of Mesquite, Texas returned to his home state to coach and teach at North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Virgil one day hopes to become a head coach at the high school level.

Ellie Williams, sophomore forward, started 14 of the 17 games she played in for the 2019 season. Williams led the Lady Lions in the 2019 season with four goals, 27 shots and 10 points. Williams is a native of Frisco, Texas.

Junior forward Ty Brewer bings the ball down the court against Grambling state University. Last season, brewer played in all 31 games wile starting in 28 of them. In 2019-2020, Brewer lead the team in points per game with 14.9, 7.7 rebounds per game, steals with 46 and blocks with 18.
