Blake Hornbuckle, Head Coach for Southeastern’s Lady Lions soccer team has parted ways with the university after eighteen years.
“Hornbuckle is no longer with the university,” said Director of Sports Information Kemmler Chapple. “Matt Muia will be our interim coach for the remainder of the season. We will have a national search the permanent replacement at the end of the season.”
Muia has coached with the Lady Lions for the past two years. He played an influential role in the development of Hope Sabadash last season and helped the team to make their third NCAA tournament appearance.
During his tenure with the university, Hornbuckle has lead the team to four Southland Conference Championships in the regular season and four Southland Conference Tournament Championships.
