Tropical-storm-force winds from Dorian could begin in parts of Florida as early as Saturday or Saturday night. Dorian is already raising concern in Puerto Rico after dumping rain on the Windward Islands of the eastern Caribbean. People on the U.S. territory have been stocking up on emergency supplies and trying to secure dwellings that were badly damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Florida residents in the cone of impact are advised to begin taking precautions and to stock up on necessary supplies now in preparation of landfall. Currently, the National Hurricane Center is not predicting any impacts on Louisiana from Dorian.
