As school gets started, students have two convenient options when buying meals outside of the Cayman Cafeteria and paying for other things that are offered across campus with Cub Cash and Lions Lagniappe.
Cub Cash is a set amount of money on a student’s university I.D. that comes with in a student’s meal plan. Swiping the I.D. like a credit card, students can purchase meals at many different locations, including restaurants in the Lion’s Den, Subway, Starbucks and both campus convenience stores, the Mane Market and the Mane Market Too.
“I think it’s really convenient,” said Emily Chiasson, a freshman majoring in communicative sciences and disorders. “I really like that we have Cub Cash because I don’t have to worry about having money on me all the time, and with how expensive college is getting to be, it’s a relief to know that I have money, especially for food, so I don’t have to worry about running out of money in my account from eating on account.”
Lions Lagniappe can be used at all campus dining facilities including the University Bookstore, the Document Source, most on-campus vending machines, copy machines, the residential laundry facilities, the Health Center, and the Student Activity Center.
