To better aid the university, Southeastern switched from a United States Postal Service (USPS) contract station to a University Mail Center. It is located in the old Post Office location; however, there is no longer a front counter area. There is a service door available for customers if they need help with anything related to the mailboxes.
Mailing and shipping supplies, including supplies for Federal Express and UPS, are now available at the University Bookstore and the Document Source, both of which are located in the Student Union.
Box rental is available at the University Mail Center. Faculty, staff and other individuals, including residents of North Campus and Zachary Taylor Hall, can rent a campus mailbox for $16 during the fall and spring semesters and $8 in the summer.
All other on-campus residents will receive their individual mailbox key at the time of check-in. Their mailbox is located in their dorm building, on the specific floor that they live on. Mail is delivered daily to the dorms.
All USPS deliveries will be made to campus at 7:45 a.m. and pickup will be daily at 3:30 p.m.
For more information, individuals can contact the University Mail Center by phone at 985-549-2124.
