Senior quarterback Cole Kelley threw for 301 total yards in Saturday’s 25-20 victory over McNeese State University. Kelley is a native of Lafayette and a transfer from the University of Arkansas. The Lions will face Northwestern State University at home on March 13 at 6 pm.

Senior infielder Preston Faulkner started 15 games for the Lions in the shortened 2020 season and had a batting average of .157. In Faulkner’s sophomore season, the Denham Springs native started all 60 games for the Lions batting .273 with 11 home runs.

Located next to Strawberry Stadium, the Contemporary Art Gallery is a part of the Department of Visual Art + Design. The upcoming exhibit will feature the works of New Orleans artist Ruth Owens. Visitors are required to wear face coverings inside the gallery and are asked to maintain a six-feet distance from each other while inside.
