When current university Provost Tammy Bourg returns to faculty status on Jun. 1, Dr. Tena Golding will then serve as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

“Dr. Golding is a highly respected member of our campus community, having served as an outstanding academician and faculty member during her time at Southeastern,” said President John L. Crain in an announcement to the campus on Mar. 24.

In her time at the university, Dr. Golding has served as Interim Department Head of Mathematics. She has also served as Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence for many years and has been a professor in the mathematics department.  

Dr. Golding’s appointment is subject to approval of the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
