Mardi Gras “In the Zone” reaches its eighth year of being an alcohol and tobacco-free environment for the community.

Tangipahoa – Reshaping Attitudes for Community Change and Student Outreach and Advocacy Representatives have been hosting this event since 2010. This year, Mardi Gras “In the Zone” is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2 on North General Pershing Street in the Pennington Center Parking Lot according to the TRACC Facebook page.

Community Outreach Coordinator and Member of TRACC Katy Cochran explained the reasoning behind this annual event.

“Our event gives families and community members the opportunity to enjoy the festivities in a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment,” said Cochran.
