After applying for Spring 2012 Graduation, the next stop for an exiting senior is ordering their Southeastern class ring. Next week, the Balfour Company will set up shop in the University Bookstore to showcase the rings’ designs and assist seniors in ordering their class rings. Only seniors who have applied for graduation will be able to order their rings.
“Students can purchase their rings at anytime online on the Balfour website, but the advantage here is that they get to see the rings and ask the Balfour representatives any questions they have about the rings,” said Kathy Pittman, director of the Alumni Association. “This is the official ring of Southeastern. It has all the symbols of our traditions and it ties them to the university. It connects them with their fellow alumni as they travel through the world and it marks that they have attained their degree.”
The Balfour representatives will be in the bookstore on Monday, January 30 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Tuesday, January 31 from 9a.m.-3p.m. and Wednesday, February 1 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. After ordering their rings, seniors will receive them during the spring 2012 Southeastern Ring Ceremony, scheduled for April 7 at 7 p.m. in the Student Union Theatre.
More information on the class rings can be found at www.Balfour.com. For more information on the ring ceremony, call the Alumni Association at 985-549-2150.
