The War Memorial Student Union is set to be re-dedicated to the student body this Wednesday during a ceremony that will take place immediately before Gumbo Ya Ya.
The ceremony will also celebrate the Student Union Expansion and Renovation Project and will be held on the grounds between Fayard Hall and the union at 10:30 a.m. According to Erin Cowser, director of public and Governmental affairs, all students are invited to attend.
“We scheduled it immediately preceding Gumbo Ya Ya in hopes that we’d have a large representation of the student body in attendance since it’s the students’ Student Union and it’s being dedicated to them,” said Cowser.
Gumbo Ya Ya will be held at 11 a.m. in the student union Park and will offer free gumbo and refreshments in celebration of Homecoming Week 2012.
