Cinderella spent her Saturday having tea with the Hammond community and invited Snow White and Sleeping Beauty to join.
On Nov. 12, Cinderella had pumpkin tea in the Pennington to benefit The Restoration House Pregnancy Resource Center in Hammond.
At the event, guests were treated to tea, sandwiches and sweets and children were even given their own pumpkin to decorate.
“I think it is so nice,” said Tonya Martin, an attendee who accompanied her granddaughter. “It is very well done, especially for the little children. She is loving it. The activities were good to keep them busy. She hasn’t stopped since she got here.”
The parents along with children were interacting with the princess and got to take pictures with Cinderella and her friends.
“I know she is enjoying it,” said Kristi Newell a parent at the event. “She is a little shy of the princesses in person, but she is loving it.”
While Cinderella may be a princess intended to interact with kids, the adults enjoyed it as well.
“I am pumped,” said Newell. “Yes, I am enjoying it. Cinderella hugged Nana so that made it all worth it.”
This was the first pumpkin tea and it seemed to have went off without a hitch.
“I think people seem to be enjoying it, thinking that it’s nice,” said Beth Davis, Director of The Restoration House Pregnancy Resource Center. “We are happy about that. We want everyone to be happy about their experience.”
The next event for The Restoration House is the Xerox Reindeer Run. For more information, call 985-542-0492.
