The Louisiana Renaissance Festival is returning to the Village of Albright.
“The Village of Albright is an amazingly magical Renaissance village that comes to life every weekend of November,” said founder and owner of LARF Alvon Brumfield. “The shows, shopping, education and entertainment provided is among the most inviting and fun experience of any festival adventure.”
LARF is scheduled to be held on Nov. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 and Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10 from 9:45 a.m. to dusk. The Village of Albright is located at 46468 River Road, Hammond, LA, 70401.
“The best festival in history,” said Brumfield. “It’s more than an awesomely enjoyable ambiance. The Village of Albright is a clean, safe adventure full of excitement. Feel free to come as you are or as you want to be.”
The festival will contain more than 600 artisans, entertainers and educational demonstrators. It will feature professional performers, more than 50 shows as well as demonstrations taking place on 12 stages throughout the festival.
Each weekend will have a different theme. In order, they are Mask Weekend, Heroes & Pirates, Celtic Weekend, Time Travelers, Romance and Fireworks Finale.
LARF also offers rustic on-site camping on Fridays and Saturdays so patrons can continue the experience after dark.
The festival will have a variety of characters to further the essence of the 16th century for attendees. To become a part of these characters, known as the Albright Players, and participate in the monthly acting workshops, attend the open cast call at RenFest on Mar. 10 at 9:45 a.m.
