The Lion’s Roar: When did you start playing volleyball?
Elizabeth Ramee: I started playing in middle school.
TLR: Who is your volleyball inspiration?
ER: My mom because she played college volleyball as well.
TLR: Do you plan to continue playing after college?
ER: No, not competitively. Just for fun.
TLR: Why did you pick Southeastern?
ER: When I came on my visit to Southeastern, I just loved the atmosphere. I loved the campus, coaches and the team. It was a no brainer.
TLR: What do you like about volleyball?
ER: There are a lot of aspects of volleyball that I like. I’d have to say that it is very intense.
TLR: Do you have any pre-game rituals?
ER: You know, we do some stuff as a team, but not personally.
TLR: How have you been able to balance being a student athlete?
ER: Volleyball is just as important as academics and vice versa. I love volleyball and I need to get good grades, so it works out.
TLR: How do you feel about being Athlete of the Week?
ER: I feel great about it.
TLR: Outside of volleyball, what do you enjoy doing?
ER: Relaxing, hanging out with friends. Just very calm, relaxing stuff.
TLR: What is your favorite memory in volleyball?
ER: I think we made a lot of memories this season. Probably the biggest one would be beating Corpus Christi.
TLR: What are your thoughts on your teammates?
ER: Some of my best friends are on the team. They’re my best friends, so I love them to death.
TLR: What are your goals as this season comes to a close?
ER: We clinched a conference spot on Saturday. So we are going to go into conference and get as far as we can.
TLR: How do you feel with this being your last season as a volleyball player at Southeastern?
ER: It is bittersweet. I have been playing for four years collegiately and many more years not so. It will be sad, but it opens up a new chapter in my life.
