The Southeastern chapter of the NAACP will be hosting its fourth annual talent show Thursday, April 10.
Taking the inspiration for its name from the popular Beyonce song "Partition," the theme for this year is "Partition: A showcase of different divisions of talent."
Participants had to audition for the show, which will include various people from the New Orleans, Hammond and Baton Rouge areas. Categories range from but are not limited to poetry readings, interpretive dancing and singing. Flipside, a Southeastern dance crew, will be the opening act.
The show will be similar to previous talent shows, with the exception of being hosted by Shoosh (@2realmacdatfee), a well-known Instagram comedian, having over 220k followers. In addition to Shoosh, the show will be followed by an after party, which is free with the purchase of a pre-sale ticket.
"Partition: A showcase of different divisions of talent" will take place in the Strawberry Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Pre-sales will be $15.
