Phi Kappa Phi’s Honor Society is sponsoring its twelfth annual Quiz Bowl where students and faculty can win cash prizes.
The event will take place on Oct. 22 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.
This fast paced question and answer competition is open to any student, faculty or staff member. Every Quiz Bowl team member will receive consolation prizes for their participation.
Due to time restrictions there are only spots open for four student and four faculty teams to participate.
The Phi Kappa Phi Quiz Bowl is meant to be a different kind of competition during Homecoming Week. The Quiz Bowl is an event that students and faculty can participate in and even earn some prize money.
First place receives a $100 check, and second place receives a $50 check. The two teams that win in their overall category, either student or faculty, will then partake in a championship round where the winner will receive the Quiz Bowl trophy as well as individual trophies for each member.
The only requirements include a completed application form and a $25 application fee. The application form and fee are due on Oct. 17 and are to be turned in to Dr. Joan Faust.
Students who would like to earn prizes may form a team and sign up for the Phi Kappa Phi Quiz Bowl.
