In a move planned to give students adequate time to make schedule adjustments, registration for classes at Southeastern Louisiana University will be closed for a few days in August.
“The temporary closure will allow the university’s academic departments to review classes being offered to ensure they meet adequate size,” said Enrollment Services Director Lori Fairburn. “Students will be unable to register or make changes to their fall schedule of classes starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, through 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.”
During this time, academic departments will make decisions regarding the university’s class schedule. If a class section is removed from the university schedule, students will be notified in time for them to select other courses that may be available. All students are encouraged to check their schedule of classes when registration reopens at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.
Registration will continue through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16. The first day of classes at Southeastern is Wednesday, Aug. 17.
