Grad Fair to prepare outgoing seniors

With graduation approaching, seniors can take advantage of the services offered at Grad Fair to make the process of graduation a little easier.
Grad Fair, to be held March 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., offers everything a graduating senior will need to make the necessary preparations for graduation.
“Grad Fair is a one stop shop for graduating seniors,” said Kathy Pittman, alumni director. “They can order their cap and gown, invitations, rings, take senior photos, etc.”
Grad Fair is sponsored by Gamma Beta Phi and co-hosted by the Alumni Association. Many other organizations offer services to seniors at Grad Fair. Gamma Beta Phi Advisor Amanda Robbins talks about the different services that will be available at Grad Fair.
“The Bookstore will be handling cap and gown sales, merchandise sales and diploma frame sales,” said Robbins. “Balfour will be taking ring orders and announcement orders.
A variety of services will be available for graduating students at Grad Fair. Candid Campus photography will be taking cap and gown photos, Career Services will have an Emergency Resume Clinic for students that need their resume reviewed, Student Publications will be handing out yearbooks, the Document Source will have custom invitations to order, La Capital will advise students on financial services, Financial Aid representatives will advise students on Perkins Loans and students can leave their legacy on campus through the Lion Legacy Campaign with the Development Foundation.
Graduating seniors in attendance will also be able to register for door prizes and enjoy refreshments.
Students who plan to graduate next semester should pay attention to graduation application deadlines and start application process soon.
” We encourage students to go online and apply for graduation as soon as they can,” said Pittman. “By registering early, it lets them beat the rush and start receiving information about graduation.”
“Students who have completed their graduation application and requirements should attend Grad Fair and complete their graduation needs,” said Robbins. “Attending Grad Fair will assist them in completing these tasks quickly and in one convenient location.”
