    Easier Lion’s Lagniappe management offered

Campus Card Operations has recently introduced Manage My ID, which is a secure online service that gives students, faculty, staff and guest users complete online access to and management of their Lion’s Lagniappe accounts.

“Students actually have been asking for online services for a while,” said Robin Parker, marketing director for Auxiliary Services. “A lot of universities are going towards this because it makes for easier transactions.”

According to Parker, it is a simple process for students. Students can visit the Campus Card Operations Web page at www.selu.edu/admin/campus_card to find more information or to set up an account. For registration, they will be asked to enter their university ID, birthday, name and e-mail address.

From there, students have the freedom to view balance inquiries, check their Lagniappe transaction history from up to six months previous, report lost or stolen IDs and make online deposits from credit or debit cards. A $10 service transaction fee will apply.

Guests can also deposit money into student accounts if they have been granted the account login information by the account owner. However, they cannot access a student’s ID information or withdraw amounts.

“It’s important for parents and grandparents because they’ll be able to add money to the accounts, and there was no easy way for them to do it before,” said Parker.

Students can also invite people to add to their account by sending a provided link to others, found on the site.

The site is meant to make transactions easier and more efficient not only for users and guests, but also for Campus Card Operations. Students will also be able to see if others have used missing cards to buy anything. Students are strongly encouraged to report missing or stolen IDs right away, and this is now much simpler with online access. Students no longer have to find the time to go directly to North Campus.

“I appreciate it because you don’t have to go through long lines at the Controller’s Office,” said sophomore Anthony Fox.

For more information on Manage My ID, students can contact Auxiliary Services at 985-549-2094.
