HAMMOND – The Hammond Police Department has arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the murder of Brian Keith Chester.
Investigators arrested 24-year-old William Wilson of 601 JW Davis Dr. and John Perry, 20, of 803 East Merry St. Wilson was charged with first-degree murder, while Perry was charged with principal to first degree murder, according to Public Information Office Vincent Giannobile.
Hammond Police were originally called to 1008 Phoenix Square when the neighbor of Chester called stating that Chester was at her home with a gunshot wound.
Chester, who lives at 1010 Phoenix Square, said he was shot by a black make at his residence in what was perceived by police to be a burglary, according to Giannobile.
Chester was shot with a small caliber handgun and was transported to North Oaks Hospital by EMS services where he was later pronounced dead.
Perry and Wilson were booked into the Tangipahoa Parish prison in Amite, La.
