With graduation approaching, seniors can take advantage of Grad Fair to make the process much easier during their hectic final semester.
The Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and Alumni Association have partnered up to host the semi-annual Grad Fair, which will be held Wednesday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Alumni Center Banquet Hall. The Grad Fair offers graduating seniors all they need to prepare for graduation.
Vendors such as the bookstore, Career Services, Financial Aid, the Office of Student Publications and Campus Candid Photography Inc. will be available to extend their services to attending seniors during Grad Fair.
“Grad Fair is our one-stop shopping experience for graduating seniors and there will be lots of vendors there,” said Amanda Robbins, assistant director of Residential Life. “Primarily the bookstore will be there so the students can purchase their cap and gowns, order rings, invitations, take their photo for the yearbook with campus candid. They can also receive a yearbook and sign up for their alumni chapter.”
Career Services will be there primarily for students inquiring about resumes, graduate school programs and how to go about finding work after they graduate.
“[Students] will meet with some graduate programs on campus. Career Services will be there to do an emergency resume clinic, where they review your resume one last time before you go out and job hunt,” said Robbins.
