It’s been fun, but all good things have to come to an end.
Sadly, I am moving on from my position as Opinions Editor here at The Lion’s Roar. In the spring, I will be taking the final steps in completing my undergraduate career by joining the ranks of young educators.
While I am going to deeply miss what I do here with the paper, like so many others, I will be reaching the end of a long and often arduous five-year journey which I cannot be more excited to conclude.
To move on is to grow, as the song goes. Change is often uncomfortable and it can be difficult to adapt, but I think I am up to the task. Teaching is something I am passionate about, and student teaching, as difficult and time consuming as it may be, brings me a little bit closer to having a classroom of my own.
So what does that all mean for the Opinions section? Well, I am confident that the legacy I am leaving will continue to produce quality opinions on an engaging page.
To all the people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my short tenure, I want to say thank you. It has truly been a pleasure.
To my coworkers, I hope that you have learned as much from me as I have you. I will profusely miss working with all of you. It’s truly been an honor.
Cheers to all of you and farewell.
