A fresh take on university dining options

As a growing college student, I really enjoy eating. There are spots to dine in and have a bite to eat on campus.

I enjoy eating in the Mane Dish on campus. It’s really great having a meal plan, but if you don’t, you can eat in the Mane Dish for $6 or use a “buddy swipe” to let someone in.

The Mane Dish has food stations you can stop by and get as many plates of food as you want. The Mane Dish has multiple stations of food to choose from. Some of the options are pizza, salad, pasta and hamburgers. Two of the stations serve different meals on different days of the week. They even have a salad bar if you’re just trying to eat something light that day.

You can take to-go plates too if you can’t stay and eat. One con I find to be a problem is during lunchtime, the seats fill up fast in the Mane Dish. It can be hard to find a seat and a little noisy.

If you don’t live on campus, it’s not a problem. The Mane Dish is open till 9 p.m. I like the fact that they have choices of food to choose from, and I can eat as much as I want in the Mane Dish. I’m not spending a crazy amount of money.

They also offer ice cream, which is my favorite because I like a sweet treat after I eat. You’re getting to eat so much food in that one visit to the Mane Dish that it’s really worth it to go eat there in my opinion.

I think the windows in the Mane Dish let in more light giving it a very positive vibe in the room.

I do bring packed lunches sometimes when I really don’t have a lot of time to sit down in the Mane Dish and wait in lines. That’s really convenient. Also, you can pack whatever you would like if you’re a picky person. In my opinion, I love bringing breakfast food from home so I can just eat on the go in the mornings to class.

One dining place that seems to go unnoticed on campus is Pizza Hut because it is new on campus this year. Pizza Hut is one of my favorite place to sit and have somewhere to eat. It’s right across from the bookstore and has a seating area.

Right next to Pizza Hut is the Market that has snacks, a smoothie machine and drinks. Most people crowd in the Mane Dish and downstairs of the Student Union. They may not realize there are other places to eat on campus.

I think the Mane Dish is the most convenient spot on campus to grab a bite to eat. Bringing packed lunches is a good idea if you don’t live on campus, so it makes it easy for you.

I don’t live on campus, but I found getting a meal plan was super helpful just so I can eat throughout the day while I’m at school. Again, Pizza Hut has really good options to choose from to dress up your pizza and a nice quiet seating area inside and outside. I usually sit outside and enjoy a pizza.
