Lions leap around in historic 2025 Louisiana snowstorm

A historic southern Louisiana snow day took place on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. Southeastern traded in its traditional green oaks for a sparkling blanket of snow.

Roselyn Rivas, Social Media Content Manager

Roselyn Rivas is a strategic communication major from Gonzales. She recently joined The Lion’s Roar in Fall 2024 and is excited to be on the team. She also holds the role of social media strategist for the Association of Latin American Students, which is an organization dedicated to empowering the Latin community. Planning to graduate in 2026, Rosie aspires to have a career as a social media executive for high-end brands such as Apple or Glossier. When she’s not surfing the media and creating graphics, you can find her with her cats, drinking coffee or with family.

Romeo Agdamag, Staff Photographer

Romeo Agdamag is a freshman marketing major with a minor in photography. He began working as a staff reporter for The Lion’s Roar in the Fall of 2024 with plans to graduate in the Spring of 2028. While working for The Lion’s Roar, he also runs a photography business that he plans to pursue once he graduates. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, traveling, and hobby photography.

Eva Saladino, A&E Editor

Eva Saladino is an English major from Covington who has been with The Lion’s Roar since March of 2023. She began as a staff reporter and now stands as the Arts and Entertainment editor and plans to graduate in the Fall of 2025. Eva intends to let her love for writing guide her into a professional career she is proud of. She also hopes to one day live in New York and write and publish her own children’s book. Eva loves nature, going to farmer’s markets and watching romcoms.

Sean Hoffman, Staff Reporter

Sean Hoffman is a junior sports communication major from Gonzales. He plans to graduate in the Fall of 2026 and plans to work in the sports media industry. His goals are to become a professional sports writer and to start his own sports talk show in the future. Sean enjoys taking photos at sporting events to grow his social media page to show others you can do anything and everything you put your mind to. In his free time, Sean enjoys watching horror movies with friends and going out to watch football on the weekends.

Aaron Madison, Digital Media Content Manager

Aaron Madison is a computer science major and math minor from Slidell. He began working for The Lion’s Roar in the Fall of 2021. He plans on becoming a software engineer after graduation. He is passionate about computers, technology and music.

Dr. Chelsea Slack, Ph.D., Faculty Advisor

Dr. Chelsea Slack is an assistant professor of communication and media studies and has served as the faculty adviser to The Lion's Roar since Spring 2021, primarily overseeing editorial content. She holds a Ph.D. in Rhetorics, Communication and Information Design from Clemson University. She is also a graduate of the University of Memphis and Southern Arkansas University. Dr. Slack lives in New Orleans with her husband and enjoys all things Mardi Gras in her spare time. She is also a freelance writer, editor and social media content creator.
