Maecie Hardaker is an undeclared freshman born and raised in the thick of Slidell. Writing in its purest form has always been a comfort to her in a time of need, so it came as no surprise that, as of September 2025, she clawed her way onto The Lion’s Roar team. Although undeclared, Maecie is certain that she hopes to pursue writing at a higher academic standard, specifically in journalism, with a dream of traveling the world in pursuit of it. When she isn’t navigating the uncertainty of her life, she enjoys indulging in painting, thrifting, reading, and far too excessive media consumption in the form of news, movies, poetry, and music.
