The Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Honors Convocation will be held today at 3:30 p.m. in Pottle Auditorium, celebrating the achievements and contributions of outstanding faculty and students of the SLU community.
The event intends to highlight exceptional members of the college’s community and their accomplishments, specifically celebrating academic excellence, leadership and dedication.
In addition to honoring students, the convocation will spotlight faculty achievements, recognizing the work of educators in helping students succeed.
Among those recognized is assistant professor and faculty adviser of The Lion’s Roar, Dr. Chelsea Slack, nominated by the college for the President’s Excellence Award in Faculty Service.
Organizers said the convocation is more than an evening of awards; it serves as a reflection of achievement and is intended to bring students, faculty and staff together in shared success.
Faculty, students and guests are encouraged to attend and participate in honoring the college’s outstanding students and faculty.
