COVID-19 cuts Lady Lions’ basketball championship run short

This season was the first year since 2012 that the Lady Lions made the Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Lady Lions finished with a 12-17 record which was just enough to get the team the eight seed. Pictured is senior guard Charliee Dugas who saw her final season get cut short due to the COVID-19 Virus outbreak. Dugas finished her career averaging 10 points, one assist, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals for the Lady Lions.

Morrison reflects on growth in basketball career

Tyler Morrison, a senior guard, started 21 games for the Lady Lions during the 2018-2019 regular season. Last season, Morrison averaged 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.2 points per game. The Lady Lions open up the 2019-2020 regular season at home against Southern University of New Orleans on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.in the University Center.
