Located at 108 S. Pine St. in Hammond, the Miller Memorial Library Family Resource Center was recently cleaned by members of the Hammond Kiwanis Club and three university students. Through this community service project, the volunteers picked up trash, cleaned up branches and leaves, pressure washed the building and more.

Frank Scelfo, head coach of football, is interviewed during halftime of the Aug. 29 game against Jacksonville State University in which the Lions won 35-14. After going 4-7 in the 2018 season, Scelfo has led the Lions to five wins through eight games in the 2019 season. The football team is currently in second place in the Southland Conference.
