Prior to the football game against Jacksonville State University on Aug. 30, the new lion statue was unveiled at 5:30 p.m. The structure, commissioned by the Student Government Association, is located on the west end of Friendship Circle. Dr. John L. Crain, along with current SGA President Karley Bordelon and two former SGA presidents Richard Davis Jr. and Seth Leto revealed the statue to those in attendance at the tailgate.
