New projects underway at Sustainability Center

The University Sustainable Center has made some additions to their projects including vermicomposting and installation of a flower-shaped solar panel. Future plans for the center include adding a room to Southeastern’s Environmental Education Development (SEED) building.

University digging into sustainability

The university has recently decided to further their green efforts. A committee, originally formed as an anti-litter initiative, is now looking to expand their plans by installing 220 geothermal wells. 90 of these wells are located on the north side of Ascension Hall, and the remaining 130 are to be installed where Zachary Taylor Hall once stood.
